ICONOCLASTE Public auction Live broadcast on drouot.com, interencheres.com Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 2pm Quai de la Photo 9, Port de la Gare - 75013 Paris Following the success of the last AFP sale, "De l'argentique à l'iconique" in November 2022, Agence France-Presse is reaffirming its confidence in Ader E&P with a new auction to be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, on Quai de la Photo - the brand-new meeting place for photography enthusiasts, inaugurated on the quays of the Seine in July 2023. Under the title "Iconoclaste", this year's event will feature a contemporary selection of colorful, energetic photographs. Two hundred photos, taken between 2000 and 2023, pay tribute to the creativity and eclecticism of the agency's photographers, well beyond what is generally assumed to be "news" photography. The photographic writing behind the works reveals itself, our view of the world shifts, and the tumult of current events melts into hard-hitting, insolent or joyful snapshots.
