ELZA KÖVESHÁZI KALMÁR (1867-1958) - COLLECTION JÓZSEF VÁGÓ (1877-1947) THEN PIERRE VAGO (1910-2002) Táncoló fiú also known as Táncos (dancer) also known as Danse enchantesse, the model designed around [1907-1909] and presented at the Internationale Kunstausstellung des Sonderbundes Westdeutscher Kunstfreunde und Künstler zu Cöln, 1912 Sculpture. Bronze print with a shaded brown patina. Antique cast iron, circa 1910. Original green marble base. The fixing nut under the base is missing. Unsigned. Height of the base included : 32,5 cm - Height of the bronze only : 29,5 cm Provenance : - Collection József Vágó (1877-1947). Architect, figure of the Secession movement in Hungary. - Collection Pierre Vago (1910-2002) (Pierre Vágó, known as), son of the previous one. Architect, editor-in-chief of L'Architecture d'Aujourd'hui from 1932 to 1947, then president of the Editorial Committee of this publication, member of the UAM, founder of the International Union of Architects (U.I.A.) in 1948. Museum : A proof of our sculpture model is kept at the Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum (Hungarian National Museum) in Budapest. Exhibitions : - Internationale Kunstausstellung des Sonderbundes Westdeutscher Kunstfreunde und Künstler - Cologne, 1912. A bronze print of our sculpture model was presented at this event under catalogue number 630. - 1912 - Mission Moderne - Exhibition of the centenary of the Ausstellung des Sonderbundes Westdeutscher Kunstfreunde und Künstler zu Cöln 1912 - Museum Wallraf-Richartz, Cologne, 31 August to 30 December 2012.
