GILBERT POILLERAT (1902-1988) POUR LA MAISON DE LA RADIO (INAUGURATED IN 1963 )Carcois, works created around 1960 and installed around 1961-63 in the Music Room of the Maison de la Radio in ParisPair of monumental wall lights with three crowns of light each. Gilded brass proofs complete with their nut covers also in gilded brass; the supports, not visible, in lacquered metal. The light is diffused, on each light fixture, by 22 fins made of glass cast on a bed of sand. Oxidations, pitting, gilding wear, scattered dents, state of use. Height: 220 cm - Width: 57 cm - Depth: 92 cmProvenance and history : Maison de la Radio (formerly O.R.T.F., now Radio France group) - Our pair of wall lights installed in the Music Room designed and fitted out by Jean Niermans between 1961 and 1963 . The Maison de la Radio was inaugurated by General de Gaulle on December 14, 1963 after work had begun in 1958 on a 1954 architectural project.
