Model of the ASCO ASCO Calvi high-speed ferry, SNCM ferry. High speed ferry from the Leroux and Lotz Naval shipyards in 1996 for the SNCM. Named after the Corsican river Asco, this ferry provided the link with its sister ship Alisto. Put into service on the NICE-Corsica line, the ferry sailed until 2005 before being sold to Greece where it was renamed Panagia Parou, then Red Sea II. The ship will be wrecked in 2017 in the port of Algesiras following a storm. Model with its descriptive plaque under a Plexiglas bell and wooden base. Model created by A.M.A.I.P, Models and Prototypes, St Malo. The paint flakes at the base of the ship and the bell is slightly scratched. Length: 113 cm, Height (with stand): 32 cm, Depth: 24 cm
