Exclusive meeting with Claire-Marie Le Guay and Renaud Capuçon Do you dream of spending a moment with exceptional artists? Come and meet the pianist Claire Marie Le Guay and the violinist Renaud Capuçon during the dress rehearsal of the concert organized on April 4th for the reopening of the Franklin Chapel. Claire-Marie Le Guay and Renaud Capuçon, internationally renowned pianist and violinist but also parents of students at Franklin, propose to a family (parents and children over 10 years old) to attend the dress rehearsal of the inaugural concert of the Franklin Chapel, on Monday, April 4th (day of the concert) between 6 and 7 pm. The rehearsal will be followed by a 15-minute discussion between the family and the two musicians. A unique opportunity for a privileged meeting with these two musical personalities. Claire-Marie Le Guay has performed with numerous orchestras, such as the Bamberger Symphoniker, the Bayerischer Rundfunk in Munich, the Camerata Salzburg, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, the Kremerata Baltica, the New Japan Philharmonic, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, and has played under the baton of Daniel Barenboim, Yuri Temirkanov and Louis Langrée, with whom she recorded the Liszt and Ravel Concertos. In concerto, chamber music or recital, Claire-Marie Le Guay is the guest of many renowned festivals such as the International Piano Festival of La Roque d'Anthéron, the MDR Musikfestival in Germany, the Lockenhaus Festival in Austria, the Enesco Festival in Bucharest, the Folle Journée in Japan. She has performed at the Philharmonie de Paris, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Salle Pleyel, the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Musikverein in Vienna, Carnegie Hall and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. Claire-Marie Le Guay performs with many artists such as Renaud Capuçon, Marc Coppey, Thierry Escaich, Gidon Kremer, Quatuor Modigliani and forms a duo with the cellist François Salque. She loves renewal through the creation or interpretation of works by composers of our time. She is the dedicatee of several works by Thierry Escaich. A passionate teacher, she has been teaching at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CSMDP) since 2002, and has written La vie est plus belle en musique (Flammarion 2018). Claire-Marie Le Guay has directed the Dinard International Music Festival since 2018 and in 2021 created the Dinard International Competition for amateur pianists. Renaud Capuçon plays with major orchestras: Berliner Philharmoniker, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Filarmonica della Scala, London Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Wiener Philharmoniker, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France and Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. He has worked with many conductors, such as Daniel Barenboim, Gustavo Dudamel, Valery Gergiev, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and François-Xavier Roth. His commitment to chamber music has led him to collaborate with the greatest musicians, including Martha Argerich, Hélène Grimaud, Clemens Hagen, Maria João Pires, Yo-Yo Ma, as well as with his brother, the cellist Gautier Capuçon. He has also represented France at some of the most prestigious international events: he performed with Yo-Yo Ma under the Arc de Triomphe for the commemoration of the Armistice in the presence of more than 80 heads of state and he played at the G7 summit in Biarritz. Renaud Capuçon is the artistic director of two festivals: the Sommets musicaux de Gstaad, since 2016, and the Easter Festival of Aix-en-Provence, which he founded in 2013. Since the 2021-2022 season, he has been the artistic director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne. Renaud Capuçon has been a professor at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne since 2014. He plays the Guarneri del Gesù Panette (1737) which belonged to Isaac Stern. He was named Chevalier in the National Order of Merit in June 2011 and Chevalier of the Legion of Honour in March 2016.
