After a fire, the place was reborn as a pastry shop, decorated by Jules Chéret, famous painter and poster artist. During the Belle Époque, the company created a tasting room in the store, an avant-garde idea that made Ladurée one of the first French-style tea rooms and a popular address in the capital. The story continues in the 20th century when Ladurée propelled the Parisian macaroon to the forefront, which soon became inseparable from the House. This precious delicacy has been reinvented over the years and seasons. For more than 160 years, Her Majesty Ladurée has been synonymous with excellence and has made French pastry famous throughout the world. In 2023, the House will undertake major renovations to the premises at 75 avenue des Champs-Élysées: this is an opportunity for regulars of the salons Paéva and Castilgione to take a souvenir of the institution before the renovation begins in February.
