Le Meurice opened its doors in 1835, taking its name from its first owner, Charles-Augustin Meurice.
The first Parisian Palace, located in the heart of historic Paris on rue de Rivoli, Le Meurice is an inspiring and fascinating place where 18th-century splendor and modern comfort reign harmoniously side by side.
Over the years, Le Meurice has often been dubbed the Hotel of Kings, due to its many royal guests. In 1855, Her Majesty Queen Victoria stayed here during her official visit to Paris.
Each with its own unique character, Le Meurice's rooms pay tribute to French beauty, heritage and luxury. After more than 180 years in business, the hotel continues to renovate its rooms to meet the expectations of its guests. Furniture, lighting and decorative elements are all souvenirs that hotel guests and lovers of a certain art de vivre will be delighted to acquire. Initiated by kings and shaped by the greatest artists, the illustrious history of the establishment continues to be written, while at the same time embracing a circular economy.
