ANDRÉ ARBUS (1903-1969 )Work carried out for the development of Mr. R.'s property in 1948Hairdresser forming a desk or large curved console in sycamore and sycamore veneer. The entablature opens with three drawers (one of which is false) in the front; the sockets are articulated rings in gilded brass. The legs are of the sheath type and each decorated with a gilded brass ring towards the receptions. The top is originally sheathed in parchment skin with gold fillet decoration and opens, on the right side, with a flap revealing a mirror. In the usual state of use, a part of the moulding is missing on two capitals. Height : 71,5 cm - Length : 199 cm - Depth : 49 cmProvenance and history :- From an important decoration made in 1948 by André Arbus for Mr R. - Work owned by descendants . Important : A copy of the original invoice (crossed out) dated 27 October 1948 will be given to the purchaser . Two facsimiles of two original gouaches signed André Arbus, of the design of the room in which our furniture was located, will be given to the purchaser.
