Compagnie Générale Transatlantique (CGT or French Line) Anonymous Passengers enjoying the sun on the deck of the liner France (CGT 1962) The liner France (1962-2009) was the last French transatlantic liner. Designed as a modern ship, it featured impeccable on-board service: grooms or "little servants in livery", or "apprentice sailors" form a staff that is both discreet and omnipresent on board. They contribute to excellence at sea by providing a variety of services to passengers. On the France, they could be assisted by dedicated personnel on the bridge decks. Silver print on baryta paper, from digital file (black and white lambda print) French Lines dry stamp in lower right margin. Stamp "French Lines 30/11/2024 Edition Spéciale N°: 1/1" on verso.
