French, born in Switzerland, of Berber and Ukrainian origin, she now lives in Arles. Trained as a filmmaker, she began her career at the heart of the late 20th-century Parisian hip-hop scene, filming this burgeoning culture. She explores how narratives can transform our perceptions, using poetry as a political tool to awaken collective consciousness. She seeks new ways of inhabiting the world by decentering the gaze, to clear a path towards ecocentrism. Today, her practice revolves around a deep reflection on the relationship between humans and non-humans, and she works across disciplines to better grasp contemporary issues: her creative partners include Philippe Descola, Wajdi Mouawad and Vinciane Despret.
