Le Meurice opened its doors in 1835 and takes its name from its first owner, Charles-Augustin Meurice.
The first Parisian Palace, located in the heart of historic Paris, rue de Rivoli, Le Meurice is an inspiring and fascinating place where 18th century splendor and modern comfort reign side by side in complete harmony.
Over the years, Le Meurice has often been referred to as the Hotel of Kings, due to its many royal guests. In 1855, Her Majesty Queen Victoria stayed here during her official visit to Paris.
Each room at Le Meurice has its own unique character and is a tribute to French beauty, heritage and luxury. After more than 180 years of existence, the hotel continues to renovate its rooms to better satisfy the expectations of its guests. Furniture, lighting and decorative elements are all souvenirs that the hotel's regular guests and lovers of a certain art of living will be happy to acquire. Initiated by kings and shaped by the greatest artists, the illustrious history of the establishment continues to be written, while being part of a circular economy.
