FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FRANCE, 40 BRANDS IN THE COSMETICS AND PERFUMERY SECTOR AUCTIONED ON DROUOT.COM

As soon as the bidding slip has been paid, an electronic contract will be sent to the buyer, to be signed within 72 hours by the seller and buyer to finalize the transaction.

Signature of the contract by the seller and the buyer constitutes delivery of the lot.

The buyer is responsible for initiating, at his own expense and as soon as possible, the registration of the transfer of the trademark with the Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle (INPI).

The products and services covered by each trademark are indicated on the corresponding sheet accessible on the auction site.

A first for online auctions

Authorized since the law of February 22, 2022, public auctions of intangible assets by auctioneers are now possible in France. From now on, trademarks, patents, software, licenses and other rights can also be purchased via this new transactional channel: auction houses, as regulated trusted third parties, represent a new, transparent and fluid means of acquiring intangible assets.

A total of 40 brand names in French and English, registered with the INPI in class 3 since 2020, are offered for sale on the leading French auction portal DROUOT.COM until December 16, 2024.

For this first sale, the cosmetics and perfumery sector has been chosen, with 40 names created and registered by the Bénéfik naming agency. The sale is co-organized by Ader IP, the intangible assets department of the Ader EP auction house specializing in the sale of corporate assets, and BidYourMark, TradeYourMark's entity dedicated to auctions.
