Banks

French banks set the pace of the French economic life, and have adorned themselves with numerous attributes over the course of their development, including antique and modern furniture, which today form a part of their assets. From designer chairs, to pictorial and sculptural works, to antique furniture : the heritage of banks can be varied and vast.

In the case of a move, or a desire to renew furniture, ADER Entreprises & Patrimoine aims to enhance the value of banks’ assets through an auction organized in several stages. First of all, a detailed inventory is carried out on site, to estimate the value of each item. This process is followed by researches carried out by our team, often in collaboration with company historians and experts, leading to the production of a sales catalog containing photos and estimates of each item. At last, an organisational process is put in place, from the running of the auction to the delivery of the last lots, including storage and delivery of the sold items. This tailor-made service enables our team to intervene quickly, discreetly and efficiently.

The purpose of auctioning these furnitures is to avoid unnecessary storage costs, to reduce the ecological impact by allowing the furniture to be recycled rather than destroyed, and finally to make available quality furniture for buyers, inscribed in the company's history.

Among the major sales organized by ADER E&P, the sale of Banque Palatine's furniture in 2021 resulted in the winning bid for an oil on canvas attributed to Jacob VAN OOST (Saint John the Evangelist - lot 35). More recently, the 3 sales of BNP Paribas furniture in early 2023 were marked by the record sale of a stepladder by Jean PROUVÉ, which fetched €313,600.
